Kathy Helfrick- Our Soul Sister 2017 (and also the two lovely ladies presenting to her- Phil and Shannon)
Kathy- as was mentioned last night- you rock our world! This prestigious honour was given to you with all our love because you exemplify the best of Sweet Adelines: you share your talents; you inspire and lead and always give generously to enhance the well-being of our chorus; you truly embody the heart and “soul” of RotR.
Thank you thank you thank you with all OUR hearts and SOULS.
Rhythm of the Rockies experienced a weekend of vocal and performance coaching by this amazingly gifted, focused, brilliant musician, director, coach, and arranger. Her approach this weekend provided us major musical and performing growth opportunites with permission to explore our inner selves while creating even more moving performances for our guests. Wow!
With the assistance of the Calgary Foundations Unique Opportunity Grant, Rhythm of the Rockies welcomed Mo Field on her return to Canada from Sweden. 60 of our members enjoyed Mo's creative talents and non-stop energy over a very wintery weekend at Entheos west of the city. We are grateful to the Calgary Foundation for helping to make this educational opportunity a huge success.
As we look back on all the warm memories and times we have entertained you with unrestrained joy, we hope that all the seconds, minutes, hours, days, weeks and months of 2017 bring you continued harmony, joy and great health.
Hold May 6 for the Rhythm of the Rockies' one evening extravaganza show and then the unveiling of our competition packages as we "head to Vegas baby" to compete at the MGM Grand at the Sweet Adelines International competition in the fall.
Our tree of sentiments from Rhythm of the Rockies' Speaking of Christmas concert. The sentiments from "It's A Wonderful Like" remind us that people can come together in HARMONY with the spirit of joy and giving. George's family had faith in him and believed that love would conquer all
From all of Rhythm of the Rockies, may your holidays be full of harmony, love, and joyful laughter.
Have yourself a merry little Christmas.
It's the time of year for giving and this is Rhythm of the Rockies first year a Registered Canadian Charity.
