With the assistance of the Calgary Foundations Unique Opportunity Grant, Rhythm of the Rockies welcomed Mo Field on her return to Canada from Sweden. 60 of our members enjoyed Mo's creative talents and non-stop energy over a very wintery weekend at Entheos west of the city. We are grateful to the Calgary Foundation for helping to make this educational opportunity a huge success.

We rocked out our Contest package for our Family and Friends last week. This week, Rhythm of the Rockies members are packing their false eyelashes and bling as they head to Saskatoon this weekend (Apr 14-16) for the Sweet Adelines Region 26 competition.
Rhythm of the Rockies takes to the street on Saturday March 5 for our Urban Tour. We'l be indoors and outdoors at 6 venues as we present Acappella Blitz! Watch for pop up concerts around town as we perform some of our favorites.
Members of Rhythm of the Rockies have a busy weekend ahead as they welcome Ryan Heller as coach for their annual weekend retreat. Ryan is the Master 700 Director of the Pride of Portland chorus and will be sharing his vast experience in Barbershop and a cappella music over the next 3 days. To balance all of the hard work that happens on the risers, the amazing retreat "Dream Team' has organized a weekend of food, fun and friendship.
Rhythm wrapped up 2015 with an appearance on Global TV and Christmas performances around Calgary. It was an exciting year of growth, a sold out show, outstanding fundraising, travel to the Las Vegas stage and new experiences for all of us! We're looking forward to new adventures in 2016 including our upcoming retreat, Regional competition in Saskatoon and lots of time spent sharing our 4 part harmony in the community. After a restful Christmas break we're back on the risers on Tuesday, January 12 at 7:15. We have many new faces on the risers taking us into the coming year and we're always welcoming new voices. Check us out right here on our website or find us on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter.
Rhythm's performance at the Spruce Meadows International Market on Nov 15 was filled with the spirit of the season. Following the busy moments warming up and taking to the stage, singing our Drummer Boy/ Peace on Earth medley became particularly poignant following Fridays events in Paris. As we celebrate the holiday season through song and in our hearts we'll continue to be grateful for the peace and freedom that we share.
Now that we're over the preparation and excitement of our Las Vegas trip we're brushing off our Christmas repertoire getting ready for upcoming performances. We're happy to have a few new faces in the rehearsal hall, checking us out to see if they'd like to join us on the risers.
We still have some dates available for Christmas bookings if you're looking for some great Christmas entertainment.
Rhythm's Las Vegas trip was as exciting and busy as we expected. We are thrilled with our result, placing 17th out of 34 of the best SA Choruses in the world. It was an honor for Rhythm to be among the high caliber of showmanship and music taking the stage .
There's nothing like a receptive audience to make Rhythm of the Rockies Chorus shine! The reheasal hall filled with family and friends eager to hear and see the latest ROTR packages that they'll take to the Sweet Adelines International Contest in Las Vegas next week. As a second treat, they also came to check out Rhythm's very own No Strings quartet who took first place in western Canadian region 26 and will also be competing on the Las Vegas stage.
The energy from the risers reached the back of the room as the chorus showed off the two numbers for their semi-finals contest and the 4 song finals package that they've prepared.
