Our amazing show committee has wrapped up their project and what a huge success it was. Let's Fly - An Evening With Rhythm of the Rockies involved a lot of hard work and talent on and off the risers. We'd like to acknowledge the companies and individuals who donated items for our silent auction. We hope that you'll consider these community minded enterprises and individuals the next time you're in the market for their items.

On Canada Day, our members were reminded once again how fortunate we are to live in this great country.  In the presence of local, provincial and federal dignataries we were honored to share the special moment as Calgary's newest Canadian citizens took their oath.

Singing O Canada at Heritage Park with these special guests has become a highlight of our performance calendar.  Next we headed out into the park and the sunshine to share our songs and celebrate with the Canada Day crowd.

What a night!  'Let's Fly' took off to a packed house in a transformed Fresh Start facility gym. With preshow refreshments and entertainment by the 'HusBand', the crowd eagerly took part in the silent auction and raffles before taking their seats on a hot, hot Calgary evening.
Rhythm's first set included some of their repertoire favorites with Mary offering a bit of the history along the way. The chorus' new Las Vegas costume "Moxie" made it's debut in the second half which started with an energetic Lady Gaga's 'Edge of Glory'. The set featured the packages that Rhythm will take to the International stage at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas for the semi-finals and finals (hopefully!).

Rhythm of the Rockies could not be more proud of members Stephanie Ball and Jennifer Auld Roach - tenor and lead in No Strings Quartet.   With Jenna Kellas- bari of Vocal Motion Chorus and their bass Laura Holmes they cleaned up at the Region 26 competition in Surrey.  Their ballad and uptune harmonies and dynamics topped the day in the competition with a score of 583!

Laura Holmes recently became a member of Rhythm of the Rockies - welcome Laura!  With new ROTR Bari Karri Quan, the ladies will now head to the SAI International quartet competition as Region 26 reps on the Vegas stage in October 2015 and Rhythm of the Rockies will be there to cheer them on.  Congratulations No Strings and knock 'em dead in Vegas!

Rhythm was honored to be a part of the 5th bienniel Calgary Sings hosted by ARCS in April.  This is always a great event and the chance to hear a variety of Calgary's choral groups.  You could feel the energy before the show even started and performers and audience were caught up in in throughout the evening.

With our high energy Lady Gaga and Queen numbers and our newest song making it's performance debut, Rhythm members performed for a full house and appreciative audience.   Thanks to ARCS for including us in this years show supporting the Carewest Music Program.
