Rhythm of the Rockies is a championship chorus based in Calgary, Alberta, Canada.  It is a chorus of energetic, enthusiastic women, who sing 4-part a cappella harmony.  These women come from all walks of life and professions and take their music, and ensuing fun, seriously.  In November of 2013 the Chorus competed in the AA Harmony Classic International Competition in Honolulu, Hawaii, winning first place gold! They achieved the highest score ever awarded in the history of the Harmony Classic competition.

Since then, they have achieved top 20 scores internationally (out of 550+ choruses) for performances at the MGM Grand theatre in Las Vegas and at the Smoothie King Centre in New Orleans. In 2022, in the western Canada Region 26 competition they performed for the first time via video due to covid protection measures implemented organizationally. They received first place in small chorus division in Western Canada.

Members, whether musically trained or not, share a passion for singing. They are "ordinary voices making extraordinary music” taking a fresh and exciting approach to the a cappella singing of jazz, swing, modern classics, ballads and barbershop uptunes. As past international mid-sized chorus champions, continual qualifiers for international competitions, Rhythm of the Rockies sets high goals and has achieved them. This auditioned chorus has grown to over 65 members and always welcome new singers from all backgrounds and skills. 

Most importantly, Rhythm of the Rockies loves to perform!  They produce their own shows and sing in public venues for a variety of clients. They also participate in regional and international competitions. Their Region consists of BC, Alberta, and Saskatchewan, one of many Regions of the international sisterhood of over 21,000 a cappella singers called "Sweet Adelines International", a worldwide organization of women singers committed to advancing the musical art form of barbershop harmony through education and performance. The opportunities for friendship and camaraderie, travel and personal growth are limitless. They offer top quality, eclectic, a cappella entertainment for organizations, public events and private gatherings.
